I fondly remember Staufen and the tavern in the town associated with Dr Faustus. I initially planned to add a minor bit about the town's Faustian connection, then thought to check the German-language WIkipedia. There is a post on the Village Pump from a Brazilian Wikipedia contributor who aked about translating English-language Wikipedia articles into Portuguese for the Portuguese-language Wikipedia. He got a green light for this. I will (when I get a proverbial "round tuit") translate a goodly portion of the German-language article for the English-language one. Until then, however, I wanted to put in a link to the German-language article. Had a bit of trouble making the link look right, which is why it's a bit awkward as saved.
