@APK: Because the sculpture is in copyright, photos of it on Wikimedia Commons have been nominated for deletion here. But I think one photo of this now destroyed statue should be kept in the article for the historical record, under a WP:FAIRUSE rationale. c:File:Christopher Columbus Monument 3.JPG, which you took and uploaded, seems to be one of the best available images of the work. Would you be happy to re-upload it to Wikipedia (not Commons) with a {{Non-free 3D art}} tag? I could re-upload it myself, but as it's your work it would feel more right if you appeared as the uploader (though obviously I would credit you regardless).
