Timeline

Didn't the company begin production of the first set too late for that year's Christmas season, resulting in some little kids getting vouchers for a future purchase instead of the actual toys? I seem to remember this being a problem.WHPratt (talk) 20:18, 19 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes, the famous "Early Bird" certificates were given out for Xmas '77 and the figures weren't available until 1978. I'll correct this in the article. 88.104.31.182 (talk) 07:32, 18 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

B-Wing Pilot

edit

Anyone know where the B-Wing pilot fits into this list? Any others missing?

I can't believe the deletionists haven't seen this. -- AvatarMN (talk) 02:47, 27 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Why? What's wrong with it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.127.245.37 (talk) 12:24, 27 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
It's not an article. It's got no context, no references, no catagories, isn't wikified, is orphaned, and is written with abbreviations that only a fan would understand. Just to begin with. It's junk, and shouldn't be on Wikipedia in this form. But I hate deletionism, so I'm not going to do anything about it. -- AvatarMN (talk) 15:00, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Sorry I've tried to clean it up a little. Let me know if I can do anything more? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.127.245.37 (talk) 13:13, 2 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Now I feel jaded, I didn't expect anyone to be inspired to actually do anything. Bravo. In respect to your effort, I did a little further wikifying. The categories and SW stub should get the article the attention of some editors, especially. But how were you able to compile this list? Is there a book, or a web site that can be sourced, and fulfill that requirement? If you don't know how to source, put it here and maybe I can do it. -- AvatarMN (talk) 02:45, 4 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well I just got them off of the pack of a star wars figure card. It lists them all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.40.52.175 (talk) 20:07, 24 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ok I finally found a decent source. http://www.rebelscum.com/VINfigures.asp I will get to updating the article later —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.40.52.175 (talk) 20:37, 24 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

What about Mattel?

edit

I learned from He-Man's entry in Wikipedia that the line of Star Wars figures was also offered to Mattel. Would that be worth mentioning on this page as well? http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/He-Man#cite_note-popmatters-2 http://www.thesneeze.com/mt-archives/000500.php http://www.popmatters.com/pm/review/mastering-the-universe/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.31.142.32 (talk) 23:44, 19 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

It says "In the 1994 episode of The Simpsons, "Lisa's Rival", Ralph Wiggum wins a diorama contest with a diorama made up of re-packaged Star Wars action figures." I thought the joke was that Ralph had the figures in a box and "still in their original packaging." This means that he didn't do anything even slightly creative with them, but won the contest because Skinner's fan-boy interest was triggered. This neatly solved the problem as to which girl's hard work was to be rewarded: neither! WHPratt (talk) 17:03, 12 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Why does "star wars action figures" redirect here when there are more Hasbro ones?

edit

That's pretty much it. That seems be be a bit of a mess, that all Star Wars action figures redirect to the Kenner ones.

It should be the other way around and this article should cover all Star Wars action figures, with the current title redirecting the other way around.2601:1C2:5000:1472:947E:D483:BE43:B93A (talk) 20:06, 16 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

You're technically correct, but there currently isn't really any coverage of the Hasbro line. UpdateNerd (talk) 11:04, 18 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
