St. Petersburg High School is located in St.Petersburg, Florida, and founded in the 1890's, becoming one of the first public high schools within the state. Its current building was created in 1928. More significantly, the International Baccalaureate program located at St. Pete High is one of the most rigorous courses in the nation. However, the program has had an amout of tremendous success, as it has graduated over 90% of its Class of 2004 with the IB diploma; ranking number ten in the world for Diploma recipients. The program located their is also the oldest within the state of Florida. The IB coordiantor is Dr. Linda McPheron.
