Review and Notability Tagging
editThis page was created by a single-purpose account, evidently as part of a program to have BLPs for faculty of the Saint Louis University school of engineering. This case seems borderline for the following reasons: (1) except for an excerpt in a local business journal, the ref list consists entirely of web-pages and I cannot find any independent sources on him in GS news, GS books, etc, (2) the list of a half-dozen awards consists of unrecognized and internal institutional honors, (3) with one exception (see below), there is no real assertion of notability beyond typical academic activities, and (4) WoS shows only 7 publications having around ~30 cumulative citations (h-index 4). The article does say he is the editor of a journal called the Journal of Engineering Entrepreneurship and he does indeed appear on their ed list. However, this journal is relatively new (2009), consists of only 5 issues (though it claims to be issued quarterly), is not indexed by WoS, and is evidently published by a small charitable foundation called the Kern Family Foundation. While editorship satisfies WP:PROF c8, I don't think this journal qualifies as a "major well-established academic journal". Thanks, Agricola44 (talk) 21:15, 6 January 2014 (UTC).
