Location of range

edit

I'm not happy with the description of the location of the Sperrin mountains as it is actual more a description of the Sperrin AONB. Not sure if the following is any better but I wanted other inputs before changing the main body. Comments and amendments please.

The Sperrins or Sperrin Mountains (from Irish Na Speiríní 'the spurs') are a range of hills in Northern Ireland and one of the largest upland areas in Ireland. The range stretches the countries of Tyrone and Londonderry from south of Strabane eastwards to Maghera and north towards Limavady. The region has a population of some 150,000 and is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Sorry didn't sign this back on 19 Jan. Bjmullan (talk) 16:51, 1 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
