This was a solid, well-written article. I have added some details and lots of reference material. I also toned it down a little, as there seemed to be a slight bias against the jockey Ronnie Franklin. The contemporary sources seemed to blame Delp as much as Franklin for what happened in the Belmont: (my opinion is that Delp has to take some of the blame: he either gave bad instructions or he chose to employ an unreliable, hot-headed kid in the most important race of the year).
