Passenger & freight quantities
editThis seems like a tiny station a long way from significant-sized population centres. I'm curious as to how it survived Beeching and later rationalisations. Perhaps the nearby refuse site was once an important factory? Or perhaps the proximity of the South Downs Way is the justification... Does anyone have information on any noteworthy history about the station's survival? Would be good to see a bit of background included in the article. – Kieran T (talk) 21:58, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
- The South Downs Way sounds like a fair bet - it crosses the railway at the station, and in both directions there are some 150 m+ hills only a very short distance away. --Redrose64 (talk) 23:08, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
