I do not propose merging

It is not possible to merge both articles:

Reason: SIIMA awards main article talks about the Award ceremony, sponsorship and other details but, 1st SIIMA awards lists the award winner for that year, similarly next year 2nd SIIMA award article will be created like that of IIFA awards and National Film Awards

I propose to merge the article 1st SIIMA Awards into this article South Indian International Movie Awards as two articles for one event are not required. The award ceremony has happened only once and the next one, if that ever happens, would happen a year later from now. Hii, I checked with other articles, I dont prefer merging, next award list, is just 12 months away further, we cannot include all the winners in the introductory article

Proposed merge with Siima for Best Actress – Telugu

This article doesn't stand by its own. It is actually a section of the main article. The main article isn't that lengthy either to justify taking out a particular segment into an article. Devopam (talk) 17:32, 16 December 2016 (UTC)

I think having a single page dedicated to winners of each language doesn't make sense, since SIIMA award is awarded for four languages (Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil & Telugu). If we can expand the SIIMA for Best Actress to include all the language winners then we can still have it as a separate article. Rakeshashok (talk) 09:26, 29 November 2017 (UTC)

Adding SIIMA association with Invenio Origin

I would like to add the information about the recent association between SIIMA and Alankar Pandian’s Invenio origin

WP:UNDUE for the lead. Questionable for the rest. Here's the problem, the source extensively covers Vishnu Vardhan Induri creating INCA with Alankar Pandian. It mentions in a throw-away sentence "scaling up SIIMA and CCL" but no details on what that means. Adding a brief mention to Vishnu Vardhan Induri that they created INCA as a joint venture with Alankar Pandian to help collaboration across the different regional film industries of India would be appropriate. Here though, the focus is about SIIMA and the connection is really only that Induri founded SIIMA and is part of this joint venture, that's not enough of a connection. When that "scaling up" happens, then it's more likely to be included here because it would directly affect SIIMA. Ravensfire (talk) 18:09, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
