I'm not sure why this article has been tagged in this way. It is new and needs work, obviously, but deals with a fairly important topic. Faustian (talk) 20:10, 13 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Which is? Sorry, but I cannot tell, and that's the whole problem. --Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 20:16, 13 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
An editor with a poor grasp of the English language inserted this huge chunk of information into the Ukrainian Insurgent Army article. The details seemed to much for that article, which is altready quite long, so I made a new one. I will fix the grammar here, and other aspects (the other editor tends to push his POV and quotes selectively from sources), and take some of the info back to the other article. But this topic deserves it's own article as well - the SB were notorious for spreading terror among people in western Ukraine, were largely responsible for the murder of 10,000s of Poles, etc. etc. It will take a few days to fix the article, so let's not be hasty about its removal....Faustian (talk) 20:22, 13 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
That's fine. As long as one can tell what the article is about, it will not get deleted in haste. You inserted a lead section that said what it was about, and by doing so you saved the article from speedy-no context. Keep up the good work, now. --Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 20:28, 13 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • SB was a part of OUN (Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists). --Birczanin 10:15, 18 November 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Birczanin (talkcontribs)

Atrocities/Gender

edit

The last paragraph of "Atrocities" is about Gender. Some cleaning is needed.Xx236 (talk) 07:44, 10 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

I'll be working on copyediting over the next few days. --Iryna Harpy (talk) 00:23, 11 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Link 11 - Subtelny, p. 489 - to be explained,

Formatting links properly, and finding archived versions is on my "to do" list after I've finished copyediting the entire article. I'll also cite check the references after the process in order to ensure that the references actually back up the content. Where there are no archived versions of the refs, I'll do my best to find alternatives. Just keep your eye on the article in order to ensure that it follows the integrity of the narrative. Cheers! --Iryna Harpy (talk) 00:22, 11 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I've caught up on all sorts of problems with the links and have begun to rectify them (virtually every link was dead). All texts (except for Subtelny) have been found, but now I'm cleaning up the fact that a few instances have been duplicate links to the same articles (i.e., Motyka). Now I have to sort out the Ivan Bilas texts as they are the Institute of Ukrainian History, Academy of Sciences of Ukraine texts, so I'm reading through them in order to establish which goes with what information, plus amalgamating them into one or two properly cited refs (including ISBN info and accurate translations).
After that, I'm going to search out when the Subtelny ref was put in as it must have been referenced a second time, but the original ref was deleted. This is taking hours of work because the article has deteriorated into a mess (I'd venture a guess that it's due to edit warring!)... Anyway, I'll get it sorted so that editors can get back on track with actually being able to access the references. --Iryna Harpy (talk) 06:21, 11 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
