Talk:Sir Haydn (locomotive)

Pronoun consistency

edit

Since we refer to Trojan as a "she", I feel like Sir Haydn should be referred to as a "he". Same with the Flying Scotsman. Booger-mike (talk) 23:33, 20 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

LNER Class A3 4472 Flying Scotsman, to clarify. Booger-mike (talk) 23:37, 20 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

No - all locomotives should be "it" - see WP:S/HE. Ships may be referred to as she, but even that is contentious. Voice of Clam 05:21, 21 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Including No. 10 in infobox

edit

@MayBunny37: Added Corris No. 10 to the infobox in this edit. I've reverted it, but I think you can make a reasonable argument that No. 10 is a modern member of this class, so should be included in the count of Hughes locos. On balance, I think it's cleaner and more correct to just include the original 3 Hughes locos, but can be persuaded otherwise. Thoughts? Opolito (talk) 17:08, 3 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
