Talk:Silicon microstructures inc

Importance

SMI is part of an international business corporation (Elmos, as linked in the article), which is operating worldwide and continues expanding. SMI is also known here in Germany, playing a considerable role in Europe's automotive business. This should satisfy importance criteria. The company should appear in English WP rather than in German due to its location and its operating language. Therefore I am requesting the admins to accept it permanently. Also, I recommend to move the article to capitalized Silicon Microstructures Inc, since it is a proper name. Thanks -- Helle66 00:21, 17 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Was consensus reached?

edit

Re Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Silicon microstructures inc, I'm not sure why Jorvik felt that consensus had been reached at all, or that the consensus was to merge. Would you please clarify, Jorvik? Tualha (Talk) 14:23, 16 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

User:Helle66 and User:Jayvdb both suggested that a merger would be the best option. User:B. Wolterding commented at the time that there was no place to merge the information. Based on the other two comments, I thought that the best conclusion would be to create the new article and merge the information into it. If I spoke fluent German, I would have created the new article on the German Wikipedia, however I don't so I created it here. It still has the potential to become noteable enough to stay.
If you believe I made the wrong decision, then I suggest either undoing what I have done, or relisting the article at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. I will accept all responsibility. --Jorvik 14:36, 16 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
Shrug. I'm fine with the decision itself, I just wasn't sure about the procedure. Let's see if anyone else comments. Tualha (Talk) 16:38, 16 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
