Useless article
editHaving a distinct, and badly written (the lead is a confused mess), article about independent Sierra Leone in the years Queen Elizabeth remained the formal head of state is quite unjustified and useless.
it should be merged with the "Sierra Leone" article which btw contains the same information, but in more details, and better written.--Lubiesque (talk) 16:26, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
- Would it not be better to merge it with History of Sierra Leone (1961–1978)? DrKay (talk) 19:52, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, I second that proposition. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 14:50, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
- The history article should be merged into this article, not the other way around. Yeoutie (talk) 05:30, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
- Support the merge to History of Sierra Leone (1961–1978), which has the broader scope. While it could be argued that the formal consistutional change in 1971 was an important break, Stevens remained in power until 1978, which perhaps forms a more important transition.
