Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Shayna Baszler. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Lede: She trained Saku and Barnett??

edit

This has persisted in the lede since 2013: Robinson has contributed immensely in training several mixed martial arts legends including Kazushi Sakuraba and Josh Barnett. Is it true? Saku is like 10 years older than her, and didn't Barnett train her? Ribbon Salminen would you know? Also asking WP:MMA. starship.paint ~ KO 16:57, 14 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Sentence does not belong in the article - should be removed eventually.Peter Rehse (talk) 17:54, 14 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
Starship.paint, the sentence is that Billy Robinson, not Shayna Baszler, trained Sakuraba and Barnett. REEEEEbbon Salminen(talk) 21:22, 14 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Personal life section

edit

I have removed mention of Baszler's sexual orientation under WP:BLPSPS. This type of information needs stronger sources than a podcast interview. For example, Outsports regularly writes about gay athletes in MMA.[1]. Also I cannot find any reliable sources (non-circular) that confirm her university degrees. The details about Baszler's sexuality were re-added and I have to agree with their inclusion. How is a person coming out during an interview (and citing the interview) not credible? Who would be more credible about a person's sexuality than themselves? -- Mt.FijiBoiz (talk) 04:06, 29 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

The problem is the source itself not following our WP:BLP policies: "self-published sources—including but not limited to books, zines, websites, blogs, and tweets—as sources of material about a living person, unless written or published by the subject of the article" This podcast does not qualify as such. The 2015(?) interview that you linked also doesn't prove that she came out in the 2013 interview or that she described herself as bisexual then.[2] It requires the reader to infer this which violates the prohibition against original research and using this is inappropriate. RAW OR NXT BRAND?

edit

According to wwe.com and the WWE app roster pages, Shayna is still part of NXT. Can we please keep her listed as an NXT Superstar until WWE makes it official that she is part of RAW. Please see the roster page from WWE to confirm that she is still part of NXT https://www.wwe.com/superstars/shayna-baszler Would appreciate if someone could actually look at this and confirm that WWE know better than the people running this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.236.80.152 (talk) 12:59, 2 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

LGBTQ categories

edit

Can anyone tell me what sources were used to confirm her sexuality and where did they go? I know they have been added/removed from the article at some point, so it's embarrassing to me that at the moment the article has a significant number of thematic categories, but not a single mention of her sexuality in any form. For example, the Russian Wikipedia uses a certain site about queer athletes, but there her sexuality is mentioned as something obvious without any sources.
