editThis article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it is still being developed. Te Ao is a New Zealand artist of increasing reputation, has shown internationally, and yesterday won New Zealand's major visual art award --Auchmill (talk) 20:13, 30 September 2016 (UTC)
I've added further information and references that show Te Ao is a credible inclusion for the encyclopedia. Having a page for him puts him on the same standing as other winners of the Walters Prize and also helps address the visibility of Māori artists on Wikipedia.Auchmill (talk) 03:46, 2 October 2016 (UTC)

Section on reviews
editI'm not sure about the section on reviews - are these also used as sources in the article? If they are, then they already appear in the "references" list so there's no need to include them in a list of reviews as well. The publication - is it by Te Ao or about his work?
editWith regards to the publication listed, it appears to be written by three other people, not by Te Ao? If that is the case, it should be listed in "external links" or used as a source in the article. If it's not a publication written by the subject of the article, so it shouldn't be listed in the way it is now. MurielMary (talk) 21:38, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
- Good idea to move the publication to "further info" - it's still not clear though what the relationship between the publication and the subject (Te Ao) is. Is the book about him/his work? Is it an analysis of his influences, a description, a catalogue?? Would be helpful to have some information such as that in the mention. MurielMary (talk) 05:19, 1 November 2016 (UTC)
