Tadic

edit

Is Tadic a candidate in this election? His name isn't listed in the Candidates section, but he is called a candidate in the info box. It would seem to me that having resigned from the office would preclude him from running for the office, but maybe that's just because things are done differently in Serbia than they are where I am in the US. I would appreciate any clarification anyone could give. --Khajidha (talk) 18:12, 4 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, he'll probably also be a candidate. There is nothing prohibiting him from running for the presidency again. And it's pretty clear for a long time that he'll do it. To be precise, all of these names are just speculations. Since elections are still not officially declared. Tomorrow will current president of national assembly receive Tadic's letter of resignation, making her acting president until a new one is elected. And she'll also have to schedule elections in next 30 to 90 days from receiving letter of resignation. They are going to be schedule on the same day as parliamentary and local elections, since that is the main reason for resignation. Nightfall87 (talk) 18:40, 4 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Whoever is citing "http://www.b92.net/eng/news/politics-article.php?yyyy=2012&mm=05&dd=11&nav_id=80205" as a valid poll source, please don't. Look at the article's date, first of all. BureX (talk) 21:36, 20 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

I have deleted the popular vote figures for the second round, which are unsourced. The Serbian Election Commission hasn't released popular vote figures yet. Intelligent Mr Toad (talk) 07:54, 25 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Detailed stats can be found here. Boris Tadić got 1,481,952 votes, while Nikolić got 1,552,063 votes.--В и к и T 08:21, 25 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
