Polish names
editIn regard to the use of Polish name in the lede see Wikipedia:NAME#Treatment_of_alternative_names. At one point a consensus was reached that if an article has a dedicated "Name" section then these names go in there. If it doesn't they go in the first sentence per Wikipedia:NAME#Treatment_of_alternative_names. Same applies to various other articles. Volunteer Marek (talk) 11:11, 19 January 2014 (UTC)

/By the design of Wikipedia's software, an article can only have one title. When this title is a name, significant alternative names for the topic should be mentioned in the article, usually in the first sentence or paragraph./
What so significant about this particular village in Lithuania for the Culture of Poland? Or does it have some significant Polish minority? How and why it is more important than, e.g. Russian, German, Swedish, Belarusian or Yiddish or Latvian variations of the original name?
/In the interwar period the village was part of the Republic of Central Lithuania (Polish: Republika Litwy Środkowej) and then the Second Republic of Poland./
Was actually never part of it. Žemėpatis (talk) 18:16, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
