Reference to Srebrenica

edit

Once and for all, can we please keep political subjects away from the article? The relevance regarding Srebrenica 1995 is that Selma does not celebrate her son's birthday, that is all. It is quite all right to mention the subject and link it but to introduce elements of the chapter onto an article about a folk singer is just provocative and irrelevant. It has nothing to do with denial, and it is not only the Serbian nation that disputes the mainstream media version of events, the bottom of the article shows that a number of scholars and academics from around the world have a different story to tell on the matter. The point is that if we include the off-topic information that was originally inserted, why not go all the way and tell the whole story? We can start by giving demographical information on the town in 1991 and how despite its designation as a safe area by the UN in 1993, it remained a spot that was regularly attacked by Serb forces whilst serving as a launching pad for the ARBiH for atrocities, it never ends but that is why an article exists. So let's keep to the part relevant to the subject's private life if we can. --Oranges Juicy (talk) 11:36, 5 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
