Merging with Stutterfly
editI believe that the Stutterfly and Secret and Whisper articles should be merged. They are the same band but with a different name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Homie C (talk • contribs) 19:27, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
It is not, Theres a different singer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.79.229.54 (talk) 12:16, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
So? Lots of bands change their lineup. Doesn't mean it's a different band. I agree that they should be merged. -- FatalError (talk | contribs) 04:17, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
- It's a different band. Different name, different label, different lineup. And if the band members wanted to be seen as "the same band," they would have kept the name. They started over as a choice. 69.148.245.169 (talk) 00:00, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
Never mind; after doing some research, you're right, they view themselves as an entirely different band. My mistake. -- FatalError (talk | contribs) 04:18, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:GreatWhiteWhale.jpg
editImage:GreatWhiteWhale.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Not post-hardcore
editSince Stutterfly and Secret and Whisper are two different bands, I'm getting rid of the post-hardcore genre. Stutterfly was post-hardcore, Secret and Whisper is not. -- FatalError (talk | contribs) 23:02, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
many sites are labeling them Post hardcore due to the elements of their music. thats why The way the genre is now is fine.Rockismorethanmusic (talk) 01:34, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
- Care to give me a reliable source? Until then I'm removing it because the music does not fit under the definition of post-hardcore. There's no screaming, no fast-paced guitars, etc. -- FatalError (talk | contribs) 01:18, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
dude do you listen to their music their guitars are very fast paced. and every once in awhile they do have screamo moments, and their drum beats are that out of a hardcore band. Rockismorethanmusic (talk) 12:51, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- Uh, yeah, I listen to their music, they are one of my favorite bands. And you obviously don't know what screamo is. They have no screamo moments. Jordan screams like twice throughout the entire album. That's not enough to call them post-hardcore (and certainly not screamo), where the vocals alternate between singing and screaming/yelling, which Secret and Whisper clearly does not do. But you found a source, so I'm content. -- FatalError (talk | contribs) 20:14, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Christian band?
editAre they a christian band?I found out about them on TVU which is a christian music video channle that only plays christian music videos. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.29.145.108 (talk) 02:06, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
Any band on Tooth and Nail / Solid State is a christian band, seeing as how its a christian label. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.182.129.123 (talk) 03:09, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Eh, I hate to say this, but Tooth and Nail have been signing non-christian bands for about a year now. Secret and Whisper never claim to be a christian band... ever. Great White Whale has no reference to the big man eating mammal from the good book, rather it's a song about literally kidnapping a whale, and all of the animals of the animal kingdom seeking revenge. And I personally know that they are rather HEAVY drinkers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.24.137.132 (talk) 06:43, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
I'm not saying I doubt that but how do you know they are HEAVY drinkers?
Well,How do you know they are drinkers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.169.88.195 (talk) 20:54, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
They are not christian unless they bring glory to God. the day theydo that. they are christian. This world's definition of a christian is too wrong from what it's supposed to be that it means nothing. If they don't show it in their writting they don't deserve to be labeled christian. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.30.65.71 (talk) 03:40, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
I think you where lying so they could be a christian band after all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.161.160.221 (talk) 23:38, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
Yes it's True Tooth And Nail has been signing Non Christians for awhile now, but no one is for sure if SAW is or isn't a christian band. So untill someone finds a source that they are or aren't lets just drop the whole thing!Skateremorocker (talk) 05:49, 10 August 2008 (UTC) They say that God showed SAW Charles, and that God showed Charles SAW, so I would say that they are Christians in a band!76.2.247.121 (talk) 00:03, 20 December 2008 (UTC)Legakis
Ok, first off your statement makes no sense what so ever. Please next time use better wording. Second where in the world did you hear Charles say that? Thrid even if he did say that, this in no way makes them a christian band. You must know nothing about the christian genre to say a thing like that.user:skateremorocker —Preceding undated comment added 01:58, 27 February 2009 (UTC).
If they were not a Christian band, EMICMG would not distribute them to Christian stores. I'm also 99% sure that all of the bands signed to Tooth & Nail at the moment are Christian. That includes Solid State and obviously BEC Recordings. --76.107.220.16 (talk) 09:03, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
Bio
editMan, who wrote the history section??? I removed all the lame storytelling bits, but it still needs a cleanup.--SilverOrion (talk) 06:56, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Amen. Bleagh. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about them to rewrite it. The whole thing needs to be more encyclopedia, less glorified storytelling. 223ankher (talk) 02:01, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
