plagiarism heading: Is this required?

edit

I tried to remove the plagiarism section as it has been clearly established that Mr. Sinha and Dr. Sarvepalli have referred to the same sources and hence there could be some overlapping of the subject between their works. It has also been settled in the court and there is not anything of particular importance to this matter that should be highlighted to any unbiased reader. Having such unsubstantiated but settled matter would not add to the value of the article and hence I removed it and subsequently it was reverted by one suneye1 (talk · contribs) who called it disruptive and threatened me with a block.

I would request the erudite Wikimedia community who are watching this page to see if we can discuss and come to an understanding on why this sub-heading should be there.

Thank you,

I know I am reopening a subject which has been dormant. But I do not see the plausible reasons as to why this section should be there? @Azuredivay @Joshua_Jonathan Hnaluru (talk) 16:17, 15 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Again (1): Making clear that Radhakrishnan has final "n"

edit

Now that the talk section is being archived, the section titled 'Making clear that Radhakrishnan has final "n"' is only visible in the archives (LINK) but not the main talk page. And now, after a long period of quiescence, someone has once again come along to try to strip the final Ns off of his name. If such strip attempts continue, we should find a way to put a reminder on the talk page that is not archived. I believe that can be done by ensuring that there are no date-stamps in the relevant section. --Presearch (talk) 16:54, 5 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

typo in quote

edit

At the end of the first paragraph in the "The Modern Review" section, this setence appears:

Yet, in an editor's note, The Modern Review acknowledged that "As professor's Radhakrishnan's book has not been received for review in this Journal, The Modern Review is not in a position to form any opinion on it."

Note the possessive "professor's" where it should just be "professor". And probably "Professor", too.

The quote is referenced as coming from Radhakrishna: a Religious Biography, by Minor in 1987, on page 34 or 37 (as I remember - I can't double check the page number without backing out of this comment).

Anyway, I think this typo is probably a wikipedia typo and not a quoted [SIC] typo faithful to a typo in the source, but I can't find a copy of the book, or a sufficiently long preview of it, to check.

So if anyone happens to have access to this book, please check this quote?

Otherwise, I suppose I will try to find a physical copy at my library the next time I am there. Welruth (talk) 12:37, 6 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
