Raphael's Chigi Chapel is not located in Santa Maria della Pace. Its is in Santa Maria del Popolo, another commision of Sixtus IV. I know as i have been there. (Anonymous post, very confident indeed.)
The two Chigi chapels, one in S. Maria della Pace and one in S. Maria del Popolo, are illustrated in numerous photographs here, in connection with a Columbia University Art History course. A preparatory drawing for a Sibyl "in S. Maria della Pace" at the British Museum is also illustrated. Perhaps my reference to Agostino Chigi might be restored after all. ...Or not. --Wetman05:02, 13 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
