Initial Feedback
edit@Ykzhao91: Your article looks like it's pretty good shape. I like the infobox. Here's some feedback:
- There are a few places the tone should be fixed. Avoid WP:PUFFERY. For example, you don't to say that they had "remarkable success" when they did something. Just explain what they did and how folks reacted.
- You have a History section. That's great but either fill it in or remove it. Same goes with the External Link section.
- Make sure your citations back up the claims. You say that they have had their work included/featured in many magazines but the citation is just to one example of one person wearing one of their gowns.
- "The Founder" is an unusual heading title. Why don't you look at some other articles about similar fashion houses to see how those articles are structured. Mimicing the structure of similar articles (especially ones that are good articles or featured is a well-worn path to success as a Wikipedia editor.
That's it for now. Your article is in good shape! Good luck! —mako๛ 23:26, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Benjamin Mako Hill: Hi, professor. I have edited and polished the article based on your suggestions. And I have a question regarding adding pictures for the article. Since I am writing for a fashion brand, I thought it might be nice to include some of their design pics there. Like the logo and the embroidery. But I don't think I own any copyright of their photos or logo, and I don't think the photos are in the public domain either. So it might not be wise to just download the image from their website then upload to wikipedia again? I looked some picture tutorial of wikipedia but still did not find anything very specific. Could you help me a little bit on that?
Peer Review
edit@Ykzhao91: Hey Yankun, it's Xinqiao! Great article for introducing the fashion-design house. The article is well organized and pretty neat. I love it that it won't take long to learn about the topic. I would only recommend having some pictures of their works since it is the most direct way to understand visual works. Other than that, everything looks good to go! --XinqiaoCheng (talk) 06:22, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
@Ykzhao91: Hi Yankun, I am Jing. I got a general understanding about a talent designer couple who I knew nothing about from your article. The article is clear and easy to follow. After reading this article, I desire to explore more about their works, which I hope can be displayed more on it. Additionally, the three titles under the history section seem like not at the same level, or they look irrelevant to each other. I am afraid that would make readers kind of confusing. For me, it is a little weird that Embroidery appears under History; Embroidery is supposed to be put in the part introducing their works. Generally, I like this article very much. Thank you for introducing the two amazing designers.Cjweik (talk) 06:44, 29 October 2016 (UTC)
