Name spelling
editMany people spell Sable Starr, but her real spelling is Sabel Starr. It could be great if you correct it. Websites runned by people who met her say so, you just have to google it.

- This information is ridiculous that serves no purpose on Wikipedia. There’s no achievement of a groupie and no significant fame. Chasing around the famous by groupies of the 70’s isn’t relevant. I propose this groupie is relatively insignificant of a culture far gone that means nothing to 99.99% of the population.
- I saw this woman listed as famous alumni in 1971 on the Palos Verdes High School Wikipedia page.
- I also recommend the groupie category on Wikipedia be removed all together as some farce way to become famous enough to get themselves on Wikipedia. Brainchannels (talk) 16:31, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
deleted revisions
editThe revision listed here was deleted out of BLP concerns, but AFAIK the statements in it are supported by other sources (more reliable) that I have seen. It is a pity that the page got deleted because the author was clueless about policy, without anyone having a chance to save it. - I just happen to be the "clueless" author who created the deleted Sable Starr article which I wrote while she was still alive. I, despite being "clueless", have found it necessary to clean up your article a wee bit; I was also constrained to add a citation request as the allegations you made involve many people who are still living. - Well, whoever wrote this article needs to put more work into it and add reliable sources to back up the assertions regarding Sable's "dates" with various rock personalities many of ewhom all still living which violates BLP. That was why my article on Sable was deleted. I could not locate reliable sources to back up the allegations. Unfortunately I no longer have my copy of Star Magazine nor Pam Des Barres' book; both of which could be sourced. I was not biting you, but an editor such as myself with over 70,000 edits under her belt bridles at being described as clueless even if you didn't identify me by name. Putting back Mick Jagger in Sable's list.
editOn page 61 of the referenced issue of Star magazine there is this question and answer: "STAR: Sable, who are some of the guys you've met in the superstar groups? SABLE: Rod Stewart, Alice Cooper, The Zeppelin, David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Elton John, Marc Bolan-just about all the superstars."
So, why the previous person removed Mick Jagger, and only Mick Jagger, from her list escapes me. Can we get an explanation? This category of groupies needs removal
editWikipedia needs to remove the groupie category that has no purpose except encouraging masquerading the stalking of celebrities in the music business. If the groupies were journalists things would be different.
