edit@SergeWoodzing: Re this, the "Southern men's land" plural form is from the source (80 MB file) (on p. 310: "Södermanland landskap. ... Namnet betyder 'södermännens land'"), so what do you mean by "there is no plural in there"? Querii (talk) 22:10, 4 May 2019 (UTC)
- OK, but I don't know who translated that Swedish text to English, as it came out wrong, not smooth English. "Södermännens land" would be "(The) Land of the Southern Men". --SergeWoodzing (talk) 04:31, 6 May 2019 (UTC)
- I agree with @SergeWoodzing:. Look also at Västmanland, where the explanation is slightly better (the text is on p 371 Vestmannaland 1200-talet, i.e. a plural in 13th century). --Per W (talk) 08:17, 6 May 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks to both of you for your response here and on Västmanland, and I agree that "(The) Land of the Southern Men" is a better translation. Querii (talk) 19:42, 6 May 2019 (UTC)
