Russian Empire flag

I don't have authorization to edit this page. I have a suggestion that the Russian flag should be removed from the page and Russian Empire flag should be added. Kindly add this in the page:-

From what I can gather, this flag was only used from 1914-1917 during WWI, while the plain tricolor was used officially from 1896 by Tsar Nicholas II. Iskandar323 (talk) 07:25, 17 March 2022 (UTC)

Should I expand the lead section

Circassian genocide

why was the thumbnail changed?

Why was the flag changed? The Russian tricolour with the coat of arms was only used during WW1, and even then, most likely only by the Monarchy before being scrapped by the previsory government. The plain Russian tricolour was, from what I can see, officially adopted as the national flag during the reign of Nicholas II, but most believe that, despite not being the official flag, the tricolour was used since Peter I (the first Emperor)'s reign (1682/1721-1725). I just think that the plain, current flag of Russia, is a more accurate depiction of the national flag of the empire for most of its existence. HiumHello888000 (talk) 19:03, 19 June 2023 (UTC)

Wrong flag
