Was the B.S.1 the prototype for all British "Scouts" of the period?
editPaul Hare claims that is the case - but I have caught him out on a few other mistakes and my mind remains open - in any case we need to be very clear about the early dates connected with this design - note that RAF research was very "public" (they published everything regularly for the "benefit of the trade") and the Sopwith and Bristol concerns (not to mention poor old Billing) could have been aware of work on the B.S.1 from the very beginning - perhaps before the design was finalised, much less before it flew. --Soundofmusicals (talk) 02:38, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
