Cryptic references
editThis page contains references to classical texts that are not clear, and not easily followed by non-specialist readers.
For example:
"Varro ap. Solin." -- the wikipedia page on Varro does not list any work recognizable as "ap. Solin". The name Solin does not appear on the page.
""Plut. Rom. 9 "(Why not spell out Plutarch? The extra letters don't cost any money. Is that Lives of the Roman Emperors? De Fortuna Romanorum? or Quaestiones Romanae? A quick survey couldn't trace the reference.) Msalt (talk) 02:58, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
