better photo in commons
editsomeone may like to change it or add it. I would do it myself, but the 'better photo' is my own and I don't want to get accused of a conflict of interest by changing it myself (and I don't really know what I'm doing with images). http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Roald_Dahl_Plass_-_Cardiff.jpg 82.13.83.244 00:23, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
I agree your photo does show a better view of the whole of RDP but the close up view of the millenium centre should be kept in the article too. there should also be a photo of the water tower fountain in the article too as the 2 buildings are well known landmarks and very pretty. As well as those 3 photos it might be a good idea to add a picture of the 'petrol station' or welsh assembly building as it is also known. --Shearluck 00:39, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
well, shouldn't the picture of the millennium centre be on the millennium centre page? 82.13.83.244 19:57, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
second water tower
editI've added in a sentence about the original second water tower in the plaza. I know it WAS there because I saw it with my own eyes (my wife can back me up on that too, just asked here) but I need to find a link to cite. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ahremsee (talk • contribs) 15:33, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
- Well, there is a hole in the ground that has the appropriate shape (a
smallsegment of alarge diametercircle) nearby but it looks as though it has been there for some time. If a second water tower had been built and later dismantled it would surely have been reported. There's a rail round the hole and water at the bottom and it all looks as though it's been like that for decades. I'm not sure what it is – a rainwater drain, perhaps. You can see it in some of the aerial shots in Torchwood – it's located closer to the Millennium Centre than the water tower. —MegaPedant 20:53, 9 March 2010 (UTC) - Actually, you can see it on the satellite view of Google Maps, and the hole matches the shape of the water tower (actually, almost a semicircle – so not such a small segment). It's directly opposite the water tower and if it was the base for a second one their flat sides would face each other. Can anyone shed any light? —MegaPedant 21:06, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
- Here's a photo looking into the semicircular hole. —MegaPedant 03:19, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
Roald Dahl Plass & Millenium Centre
editThere seems to be different references to the names of the Millennium Center and the Plass. Both sites have historical value and have been built in honor of the area.
Viewing this site from satellite images it looks like a loaf of bread and a fish. Is there any religious connotations with these structures?. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.217.20.103 (talk) 08:43, 30 January 2012 (UTC)

"incorrect" plaque text
editThe description under the image of the plaque says "Plaque to commemorate Roald Dahl (incorrectly displays Roald Dahls Plass, instead of Roald Dahl Plass)". But "Roald Dahls Plass" is exactly the right way to phrase it in Norwegian, and that is definitely not an accident. I'm not sure what to change the text to, but it seems imprecise.
