An increasing amount has been written about risk appetite in the last few years, and the subject now justifies its own article. This is a basic introduction in the hope that others may add to it. -- Hsq7278 (Talk) 13:23, 10 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Risk measurement

edit

ISO 31000 defines risk appetite as simply an expression of the level of risk. However, organizations might define risk appetites as categories over the level of risk, such as 'conservative', 'expansionary', and 'neutral' - corresponding to particular ranges of risk level, but separately defined from them (e.g, the term 'conservative' might not be meaningful as a measurement of risk, and it is only a type of risk appetite). Currently risk measurement redirects here, but it could have its own article which might help better clarify the confusion and delineate the concepts. Tule-hog (talk) 21:29, 18 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
