The rise of the assyrias:

 The Assyrians built a very powerfull army. by 1100 B.C, they had defeated their neighbing enimies. By 800 B.C., they were very strong, strong enough to take over cities, trading routes, and fortresses throughout the land of Mesepotamia.

 The assyrian army was very well-organized. Foot soldiers armed with daggers, spears, sheilds and helmets were organized in groups.The Assyrian power was won mostly by their weapons.Their weapons were made of iron wich is stronger, unlike the weapons of the other wich were made of copper or tin( not as strong.)The iron weapons were succesful for many centuries. However in 1400 B.C. it was too soft to be made into weapons. Later, a new people called Hittites developed smelting. Smelting allowes you hammer out the impurities of the iron once it had been heated in ore, it rhen would rapidly cool.

 The Assyrians were very cruel warriors. They spread fear, death and destruction in the Middle East. They were skilled in attacking citeies. They would burn down the buildings and take away the citizens and goods.
