Greek life
editHi @VVGameTime: most editors agree that listing Greek organisations in the main article of a higher ed article is a bad idea because Greeks are not sufficiently documented by neutral sources and usually don't have the necessary significance for an encyclopedia. However, if any of the frats or sororities at Ripon does have special significance (and you can prove it), then go ahead and add that. Thanks for your help. -- Melchior2006 (talk) 08:00, 2 August 2023 (UTC)
- I am going to add information about the local frat at Ripon College (Merrimen) since I think it's a historical fact about the college, but if you disagree let me know. Cmarsch (talk) 04:29, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
- As I wrote above, if you can 1. find neutral sources and 2. show that the fraternity has the necessary significance for an encyclopedia, go ahead. -- Melchior2006 (talk) 18:15, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
- Okay - I did not go into detail but I added a small bit of info about their house since it is historically significant to the city of Ripon, Wisconsin. Cmarsch (talk) 00:38, 24 May 2024 (UTC)
