The long list of film credits in the lede looks absolutely awful and with permission from other editors, I would like to rewrite it. MattSucci (talk) 19:40, 15 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
I do think this idea has merit... maybe chop it down to the roles he is famous for in the lead. I removed "well-received" as that seems very POVish... we would need RS that *stated* each of the movies listed was "well received"... and... why?Shajure (talk) 17:41, 10 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
Thank you! I deleted the original question as nobody replied and I was unaware of the strike-through policy; I apologise! I removed a couple of movies that weren't "well received" and rewrote a few things, but after your reply I feel safer to delete things when necessary. Thank you! Not really a policy, WP doesn't really HAVE policy in a sense. It runs on wp:consensus... which changes. You may have been wiser deleting the text than I in restoring it. Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines has good info on how to manage talk pages.
If there is an apology here it would be from me to you: I changed your comment which is generally Not A Good Thing...it is at least a bit presumptuous of me, and I hope it is taken as an attempt to help.
I've never understood why WP's actor (and other show-person) bio ledes were so redundantly long and cluttered. In reference works, "less is more". A lede is an intro, brief by definition. I'd make a general statement about their work; mention a few productions they're best known for; touch on major accolades, if any; and move on. – AndyFielding (talk) 07:54, 21 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
