Guest on Fresh Air
editZanuck was a guest on Fresh Air from WHYY on 12/13/2007. This is a great source for more info on Mr. Zanuck--and there's a whole lot more info here including a story of how he know Robert Redford as they both were competitive swimmers in High School.
Expansion
editWe seriously need to do some expansion; when you compare the amount of work that's been put into Darryl F. Zanuck's (his father) article and this one, it's ridiculous, really, how small this one is in comparison. I suggest we add the typical biography and create an article for his production company (Zanuck Company). -- Cartoon Boy (talk) 10:37, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
Academy Award
editDid he ever win an Academy Award? The article does not mention one. But, he is holding one in the photo. If he did indeed win an Academy Award, it should be mentioned in the article. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 14:51, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
- He won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 1989 for Driving Miss Daisy (as the film's producer). He also won the Academy's honorary Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award in 1990. These should be included in the article. Thanks! Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 14:54, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
Vandalism
editHello. Yeah, an interested registered user might want to clean up the guest list for Zanuck's funeral. Queen Elizabeth and the Dalai Lama attended, and Julian Assange was even granted leave from his imprisonment to attend, eh? Funny. Thanks123.218.157.248 (talk) 04:40, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
