Left-Wing or Right-wing?
editProposal to expand content discussing RSP's political ideology, RSP is often associated with the socialist/dirt-bag left, but has also been described as being "post-left","quasi-socialist", "dirt-bag left", and "nu right".

- Red Scare is absolutely an alt-right podcast. They use frequent slurs against Jews and Black people. 76.86.241.138 (talk) 17:52, 8 August 2023 (UTC)
- So has Cum Town and it is still listed as being associated with the dirtbag left. Saying "slurs" doesn't equate to holding a specific political stance. Artmusicmovies (talk) 18:16, 8 August 2023 (UTC)
- Specifically what slurs and in what episodes? I've listened to 5 years worth of episodes and can't think of a single instance. Anna is literally a Jewish Zionist who just last episode, referred to herself as a "Jewish supremacist" and how Palestine is not a real country. You've clearly just looked at their guest list without listening to it and are just bad faith trolling. Both "dirtbag left" and "alt-right" were media-created fads that don't exist anymore, however the "dirtbag left" association in the show's early days is clear and obvious, the "alt right" label is extremely forced here. Pinchofhope (talk) 20:26, 8 August 2023 (UTC)
- A guest used the slur "Chicongo" to describe the Black population of Chicago on yesterday's episode. How is that not white supremacist? 76.86.241.138 (talk) 16:41, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
- Paging @Discospinster Here's plenty of proof that the podcast is far-right. This week's guest was Bronze Age Pervert, a white supremacist. 76.86.241.138 (talk) 02:54, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
- A reliable source is required to add these sorts of descriptors. ... discospinster talk 02:55, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
- Did you not see the countless sources @SydBarrett1996 shared? I would appreciate your help adding them to the article as I am inexperienced with Wikipedia. But the sources speak for themselves. 76.86.241.138 (talk) 02:57, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
- None of these sources define the girls and this podcast as "far right" unambiguously, instead they use phrases such as "dirtbag left", "post-left" or "crypto-conservative". The reception section already covers the political ambiguity, the perceived "shock value" of the podcast and how the girls identify. Please make a Wikipedia account if you want to be taken with good faith, this appears to be an anonymous smear campaign aimed to tie this podcast to political scenes that have nothing to do with them. Pinchofhope (talk) 10:42, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
- Seems as if you are a fan. Are you sure you should be editing this article given NPOV? Actively attacking Black Americans on the regular is white supremacy, and if Wikipedia powerusers intend to cover this up, this may be worrh bringing to the attention of other admins or the press. 76.86.241.138 (talk) 06:55, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
- is anything that you dislike considered far right? is racism exclusively far right? left wing policies can have extreme white supremacist aspects to them. there are also left wing policies that discriminate minorities, such as affirmative action, which discriminates against asians. - The "reception" section is already balanced and neutral, and touches on most of these aspects. Not sure what you're planning here, but I don't see the necessity of drowning the article in links to hit pieces, from mostly irrelevant, biased or unreliable sources. Directory of podcasts
editI removed a long directory of podcast episodes. Such a long directory is unusual on Wikipedia, and perhaps unprecedented for episodes of a podcast; policies and guidelines advise against most directories unless the items are listed and contextualized by third-party reliable sources. See WP:NOTDATABASE ("To provide encyclopedic value, data should be put in context with explanations referenced to independent sources"
) and WP:NOTDIRECTORY (which discourages "Simple listings without contextual information showing encyclopedic merit"
), entries #1 and #5. Llll5032 (talk) 05:00, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
- The episode guide is not unprecedented, please see List of Chapo Trap House episodes, we in fact have an entire category on Wikipedia with a long directory of podcast episodes. episode category We have three options: remove, keep (with additional sources) or move to separate page. I vote keep, tracking the trajectory of guests (from its dirtbag left origins to the more right-leaning fixtures), as well as the most frequent guests and the timeline of the show is important feature of the article. Also that fact that it's hidden makes the overall page neater and easier to read. Pinchofhope (talk) 21:44, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
