edit

Please comment on an RfC to replace Template:Infobox Criminal organization with Template:Infobox Organization for active motorcycle clubs. Thanks! --Dbratland (talk) 20:38, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

United states?

Is there any evidence or sources to suggest they have a presence in the US or Sweden for that matter? Its been established they have chapters in NZ and Australia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kasow187 (talkcontribs) 09:13, 13 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

How about Malta? Can anyone provide reliable sources or should these claims be removed from the article? Garth of the Forest (talk) 22:27, 30 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
Has it really been established that they have chapters in NZ? Can anyone provide a source? Because according to the last paragraph from the article as it stands today, that is not the case - they've tried and failed. Garth of the Forest (talk) 23:10, 30 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
There have been several clubs in North America to use the name "Rebels MC". In my region (Western Canada) there was a club operating out of Edmonton called the Rebels that was a dominant outlaw club during the seventies and eighties. After that, they became subservient to the Grim Reapers, who were later (1997) patched over to the Hells Angels. Up until then, the Rebels had been an affiliated club with the Angels for a while in Alberta and/or mostly Saskatchewan, and then more recently (2004) some guys who claimed Rebel roots tried to start a Bandidos chapter in Edmonton and got offed or run out of town by (we think) the HA. Not sure if there are still any "Rebels" operating anywhere in North America currently, but it remains unclear (at least from my vantage point) if there is any connection to the boys down under other than using a (less than original) common name for an outlaw club. The Rebels: A Brotherhood of Outlaw Bikers

By Daniel R. Wolf is a proper anthropological study on an OUTLAW bker club in Canada - it should be mentioned here and also disambig if they are not related. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.190.204.138 (talk) 18:09, 9 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

origin of the rebels in brisbane, Qld. i am 74, i was there at Lakeside , at the Motorcycle races, on the hill , where all the bikers of the time would gather , drink booze & interact. it was 1969, the North &South Brisbane Factions had joined together and before they actually called them selves "THE Brisbane Rebels" they , on the hill , at Lakeside, sorted out who was "in" and who was"out" . Yes , Confederate patches were ripped off , blokes were bashed , & unfortunately i, was in the middle of it all , but on instruction by some upper level guys , was not touched ,.So thats when & where it all started.yeah , i was 18, had my brand new Mach111 Kawasaki, & was completely inebriated . I was a Rebel Assocaite ,but not a member for many years, i last had anything to do with them about when Alex Vella started to have an influence and presence. And when they started having trouble with the Hells Angels. I was a member of an Associate Club "the Devils First Rank"- Brisbane. which later disbanded --some of whom became Rebels , .i was known as "Ted the Head".Aka the Preacher, (later times ).i went on many a Rebel run back in the day. 2401:D006:CF03:FF00:C861:C224:BCF8:F882 (talk) 06:53, 7 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
