According to the New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, Madame Garbousova was born in Tbilisi (Tiflis) (Russian Georgia) on September, 25th 1906. [Editor's note: On September 24th, 1994, Garbousova told me that she was born in 1909, and that the New Grove, as well as Baker's Biographical Dictionary, which lists her dates as October 10, 1905, were both wrong.]
It doesn’t make 100% clear whether she was claiming to be born on 25 September 1909, or just some unspecified day in 1909, but I’m assuming the former. Also, she died on 28 January 1997, not 26th ([2]). -- JackofOz (talk) 02:26, 9 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
