Below is a table that I would like to take the place of the “Other Kroc Centers” section of this Wiki. If you have any information about any of these Kroc Centers please feel free to add information to the table or add comments about possible columns or current columns. If necessary please place your references at the bottom of this discussion (i.e. you got information off the web, please post the whole web address) and the date on which you retrieved the information.--Psjoding 02:40, 2 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm puzzled by the 'notability' gig at the top of this article. The Kroc Centers are a big deal, at least for the many cities that are getting them, and a lot of people have legitimate curiosity and questions. I propose getting rid of the notability flag. I removed the 'notability' flag. I believe the article was perceived as not notable by someone not familiar with Kroc Centers. Easy to do, since this article is so poorly written.Sauve.sean (talk) 05:54, 2 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

I propose changing the name of this article from "Kroc Center" to "The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Centers"Sauve.sean (talk) 05:54, 2 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

I'm puzzled by the 'neutrality' gig at the top of this article. The article could be better written, but I don't see that it is flogging a POV. If anything, it greatly understates the scope, depth and impact of this project - speaking from my highly secular POV. Note the "Low Importance" ranking is in connection with Christianity - the article may be more important in other respects. Hughespj (talk) 02:05, 26 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

I wonder what the following (incomplete) table is doing here. Perhaps the original author was unable to follow up on good intentions. I propose getting rid of it, or updating and merging with the article. Hughespj (talk) 01:53, 26 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Copyrighted material removed

edit

I have reverted to the version of 07:13, 24 January 2010‎ by RevelationDirec to clear out the introduction of copyrighted material.

The current version of http://www.salvationarmyusa.org/usn/kroc-centers is one of several web sites which contains useful information that can be used to bring the article up to date.

Due to conflict of interest issues (some editors consider WP:COI includes both actual and perceived conflicts of interest), I will not be making "edits of substance" to this article unless the impact is trivial or the edit is necessary to enforce Wikiipedia policies or guidelines. Removing copyright violations qualifies. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 14:08, 4 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Oops, it looks like I didn't get it all, see http://kroccenter.org/about-us , http://web.archive.org/web/20100127021049/http://kroccenter.org/about-us , https://web.archive.org/web/20061012014953/http://www.salvationarmyusa.org/usn/www_usn.nsf/vw-news/7F7BDC130839D79C80257196006B355E?opendocument , and the section immediately below this one. This is from 2005-09-24 but was probably created earlier. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 20:32, 3 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Possible old source URL

edit

The 2006 reference http://www.salvationarmyusa.org/usn%5Cwww_usn.nsf/vw-news/7F7BDC130839D79C80257196006B355E?opendocument (dead link) may be the same content as this one. Care should be taken to avoid copyright violations. Disclaimer: While this is not a "paid edit" I have received compensation from "The Salvation Army" for other work, and I do have a clear WP:Conflict of interest when it comes to this topic. Other than policy-enforcement and non-substantial edits, I plan on not directly editing this article. Reverting to a copyvio-free edit (or one that I believed to be copyvio-free) is a form of policy enforcement. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 19:42, 3 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

These edits of December 24, 2007 appear to have introduced most or all of the copyrighted material that still remains on the page. Restoring to this version of November 27, 2007 should solve the problem. Disclaimer: See disclaimer above. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 20:45, 3 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
