editisn't there something to do with Rag Doll animation in recent (2004) games/graphics demos?
The reference to 4th Century BC Roman rag doll seems spurious. The Romans did not enter Britain until the 1st Century.

Noone said the Roman rag doll was found in Britain - you know, those British museums have a habit of stealing things from everywhere in the world. Still, 300BC does NOT make it a "most ancient toy", childrens toys have been there looong before cloth was invented.
