Publishing date contradiction
editThis article says the novel was published in 1953. The Arthur C. Clarke article says 1951. Which is correct? 23skidoo 19:28, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
- This has been fixed. It turned out both articles were correct but then things got messy.
- This article started out with "Prelude to Space is Arthur C. Clarke's first published science fiction novel."
- Prelude to Space was written in 1947, published in magazine format in 1951, and then published in novel (book) format in 1953.
- The Sands of Mars was written and first published in novel (book) format in 1951.
- I decided the best fix was to move the language about Prelude to Space being the first published novel over to the The Sands of Mars article. I also updated Arthur C. Clarke#Select novels to move Prelude to Space from 1951 to 1953. --Marc Kupper|talk 01:48, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
