editThis is a beautiful small village, hidden away. Infact the whole area is a secret unless you have family or connections in this area. It is much under publicised but a great place to visit, relax etc. Hiddem gem. Sometimes the climate is variable but May / June and Sept throughout the summer seem to have the sunniest days. Sunsets are great across Strathlene bay. Great walks too. Good golf course.
Wildlife that can be seen - sandpipers, jackdaws, blackbirds, seagulls and you can spot the odd dolphin in the Moray Firth early in the morning sometime.
The oldest village in the area is Rathven surrounded by unspoilt countryside - great for walks.
