Florida state law chapter 3794, approved May 30, 1887, authorized the company

edit- to construct, maintain and operate a railroad from the city of Tallahassee, in the county of Leon, though the counties of Leon and Jefferson, to the Georgia and Florida State line;
- and also a railroad from the city of Monticello, in the county of Jefferson, through the counties of Jefferson and Leon, to the Georgia and Florida State line;
- the said railroads from Tallahassee and Monticello to be connected at the said Georgia and Florida State line with a railroad to be constructed to the said line by the said Savannah, Florida and Western Railway Company from the city of Thomasville, in the State of Georgia.
Florida state law chapter 3790, approved June 8, 1887, legalized the change to standard gauge that had been done in 1886,
- from the centre of the St. Marys river, on the Georgia and Florida State line, through the county of Nassau into the county of Duval to or near the St. Johns river near the city of Jacksonville, and from the Georgia and Florida State line, in the county of Hamilton, through the counties of Hamilton, Suwannee and Columbia into the county of Alachua, to and through the city of Gainesville, in said county of Alachua, and to and into the city of Lake City, in the said county of Columbia; and also from the Georgia and Florida State line, in the county of Gadsden, to or near the Chattahoochee river, in said county of Gadsden.

- I'd check for pages of former stations listed on the National Register of Historic Places in order to reduce redlinks, not to mention existing Amtrak, and if necessary commuter rail station, then redirect them. ---- DanTD 13:58, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
