As for putting it under swivel gun. I think that would be wrong pivot guns mechanism was totally different than a swivel gun. Swivel guns all aspects of the guns aim both traverse and elevation was controled by the same single ball mount or swivel; a pivot gun had its elevation control in a seperate mechanism within the gun carriage and the pivot controled only traverse. Pivot guns could also be made in much heavier guns than swivel guns. To merge the two would be analogous to merging leopards and cheatahs they are both spotted meating cats. But the actual ascpects of the two are very different.
