Christian name / nickname
editHis nickname was "Piet", as is common for Boers with the Christian name "Petrus".
First British Annexation section
I removed the First British Annexation section due to it being unreferenced. The 1880 war was not an response to Britain's annexation of Transvaal, rather it was Britain's attempt at annexing the Transvaal. Neither, President Paul Kruger, nor any other prominent Boer, accepted British rule anymore than General Joubert did. In fact Joubert advised against war. Lastly, Britain invaded Transvaal and was internationally recognized as the aggressor. The war was certainly not a result of agitation by General Joubert. 68.146.78.154 (talk) 18:34, 19 January 2012 (UTC)
