Notability
editFull professors at major research universities who have published books are certainly notable. Art. just needs some refs.DGG 19:03, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
- Not necessarily according to Wikipedia:Notability (academics). I'll give it some time for proof of notability and the references to be brought, otherwise it may have to survive an AfD. -- Avi 19:18, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
Khoury has been the President of the Middle East Studies Association (MESA). As such (+ his books, which are used as reference at several WP articles) he is certainly notable. Regards, Huldra 17:22, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
add to the article...:

- In general, you should put an {{editprotected}} tag on the talk page when you wish to have edits made to a protected page. It flags it for admins. The categories have been added. -- Avi 17:31, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, thank you Avi (both for your edit and the inf.) Regards, Huldra 18:05, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Unsourced & posible conflict of interest editing
editUser:Khoury created this article about Philip S. Khoury, and later added unsourced claims about his achievements in fundraising, maintaining academic excellence and starting new programs at his institution. Source tags were added two years ago, and Khoury was also warned about conflict of interest on User talk:Khoury. Instead of ever providing the missing sources for these claims, User:Khoury has now gone and just deleted the unsourced claim tags, with no comment explaining this action.
I have reinstalled them. They should now either get replaced by sourced information, or the claims should be removed entirely from the article, I think. Khoury has also added Philip S. Khoury to "notable alumni" lists at the articles on his high school and his university. I've left these alone for now. Most of User:Khoury's edits are about unsourced achievements of Philip S. Khoury. If User:Khoury and Philip S. Khoury are the same person, he should read and follow the Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest policy, and especially Wikipedia:Autobiography. 151.203.119.5 (talk) 17:36, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
