Hi, friends. Would it be appropriate to create an article called "Phil bombs" or even a "list of Phil bombs"?M. Luke Myers 00:17, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

- Heh heh probably not. But Phil was known for "bombing" (playing a loud bass figure) the drum solos during concerts to lead into another song. Wastrel Way (talk) Eric
Discography
editA list of his solo works is needed here!!!! Also, there is just a little mention of his interest in "avantgarde" music, he actually made some good experimental/electrnic records in mid 1970s.--Doktor Who 12:01, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
- That makes sense. Are there any Phil Lesh albums besides the Phil and Friends ones? There is a discography in the article for Phil Lesh and Friends. -- Mudwater 18:05, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
Education
editIf I recall correctly, he briefly went to Berkeley which would be notable, can anybody verify this? RobinReborn 18:00, 13 September 2010 (EST)
Philharmonia
editIt probably is notable enough to mention his recent "band" named Philharmonia,<http://deadheadland.com/2010/12/12/philharmonia-setlistsan-francisco-december-12-2010-phil-lesh-bob-weir-jeff-pehrson-jackie-greene-grahame-lesh-sunshine-becker/>, with group members being Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, Jeff Pehrson, Jackie Greene and Sunshine Becker. 208.95.76.252 (talk) 19:09, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
Article Contains Plagiarism
editThe second paragraph in the "musical background" section is lifted completely from the book Garcia: An American Life by Blair Jackson. Word for word. It should either be quoted or rewritten, right? Tractorkingsfan 23:08, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
Stringed Instrument-playing pre-Dead
editThe article at one point states of Lesh taking up the bass: "This was a peculiar turn of events, as Lesh had never played bass before, nor any stringed instrument" However, previously in the article it is stated that violin was his first instrument. Perhaps the "nor any stringed instrument" should be removed? Pklala (talk) 23:11, 13 November 2012 (UTC)
He got bladder cancer - did Phil Lesh smoke?
editThe article notes that Lesh recently announced that he has bladder cancer. In men, smoking cigarettes is associated with over half of all bladder cancers (a third in women). Did (or does) Phil Lesh smoke? Thanks in advance to anybody who knows.Betathetapi545 (talk) 12:10, 18 October 2015 (UTC)
