Death

edit

I've read that people witnessed Ginz being taken to the gas chambers upon arrival at Auschwitz. Keeping fifteen year old boys would have been uncharacteristic. This article says his cause of death was typhus. Can anyone clear this up? LouiseCooke

All of that says he died in gas chambers.. Kriplozoik 22:59, 23 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

HE WAS REALLY SICK OF TYPHUS BUT THEY PUT HIM IN THE CHAMBERS BEFORE HE DIED OF TYPHUS —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.226.96.160 (talk) 21:10, 27 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

how did he die? 98.164.58.247 (talk) 14:48, 21 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

I am interested in how we know that Petr Ginz was gassed. The article in the Jerusalem Post says, "Petr Ginz, a 16- year-old from Prague who died at Auschwitz." It does not say that he was gassed. It does not say how he died at all. Your Buddy Fred Lewis (talk) 05:04, 5 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

The other source cited, "The Blogo," says this: "Petr Ginz, born in Prague in 1928, was deported to the Terezín concentration camp (Theresienstadt, now in the Czech Republic), during the Nazi invasion. At age fifteen, he was sent to Auschwitz, where he died of typhus." http://www.delbarrio.eu/2007/02/diary-of-petr-ginz-will-soon-be.html

The claim that Petr Ginz was gassed seems to be wrong, based on the sources cited. Your Buddy Fred Lewis (talk) 05:09, 5 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

His diary

edit

the english title of his diary is "The Diary of Petr Ginz", perhaps that should be included. Iwould do it myself, but I don't know how to cite. 58.30.7.215 (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 23:21, 17 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
