Wow, this article is wholly inadequate. I am an imaging scientist, and even I recognize that MRI is not the gold standard of perfusion measurement.

We need a physiologist to explain the traditional concept of perfusion (ml/hr/100g), then we can add some modern understandings (and complications). And finally we can discuss how to measure perfusion non-invasively, including imaging methods such as MRI.

The problem is that this subject is very poorly understood. More particularly I am looking into how oxygen gets from the heamoglobin in the Red Blood Cell into a muscle mitochondria. Perfusion as a means of Animal study

I am thinking of adding a section to this article about perfusions done on animals in a research setting. Perfusion is the process of using the circulatory system of the animal (typically mouse or rat) to preserve or prepare various tissues for imaging, extraction, and further study.
