Support. I support renaming to Pashalik of Scutari per WP:COMMONNAME (the name that is most frequently used to refer to the subject in English-language reliable sources).--Antidiskriminator (talk) 22:58, 7 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Illyrian Confederation

edit

User:PrekCali added "Illyrian Confederation" as an alternative name for Kara Mahmud Bushati's polity. I searched for reliable sources to verify it, and I found two who mention it:

  • Tafilica, Zamir; Baze, Ermal; Lafe, Ols (2023). "Historical Background". In Galaty, Michael L.; Bejko, Lorenc (eds.). Archaeological Investigations in a Northern Albanian Province: Results of the Projekti Arkeologjik i Shkodrës (PASH): Volume One: Survey and Excavation Results. Memoirs Series. Vol. 64. University of Michigan Press. ISBN 9781951538736.
  • Alpion, Gëzim (2021) [2020]. Mother Teresa: The Saint and Her Nation. Bloomsbury Publishing. ISBN 9789389812466.

Did Kara Mahmud actually call his polity "Illyrian Confederation" or is it a recent invention? – Βατο (talk) 20:08, 31 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
