disambiguation page

edit

I think each half of this page is so small that it serves as a disambiguation page as it is. ADH 21:57, 20 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • I couldn't disagree more. The article about the poem stands on its own, and clearly needs its own page. And DAB pages never go beyond a single line for each entry -- much less comprising an entire short article. Cgingold 12:07, 4 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

are the Pleiades really oreads?

edit

Why are the Pleiades listed here? What evidence is there that they were considered to be oreads?

The introduction to this article mentions the Peliades, which it describes as being from Mount Pelia, but the entry for Peliades describes them (correctly, I believe) as the daughters of Pelias, and states that they should not be confused with the Pleiades.

Is Mount Pelia supposed to be related to Mount Pelion? The only Mount Pelia I can find any reference to is an (entirely reasonable) Americanization of Montpelier.

information on Daphnis is incorrect

edit

The link follows to a different myth of a Daphnis who is not a Nymph. The reference to the Mount Pausanias is only that. No reference at all to Daphnis as an Oread.

"Hono[u]rs" as a section title for namesakes ?

edit

I haven't seen this as a convention before, in Wikipedia or elsewhere. Is this a common thing that I've just managed to avoid noticing? NapoliRoma (talk) 16:28, 10 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
