About the age of this genus

edit

If the Delphinidae family evolved in the late oligocene, than the Orcinus genus, which belongs to this family can't have 55.8 millions year. It means that the child is older than than the parent. DenesFeri (talk) 09:59, 30 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

I cnnot seem to put a fossil range

I cannot seem to put a fossil range— Preceding unsigned comment added by Bubblesorg (talkcontribs)

On one hand, fossilworks says Orcinus evolved 3.6 mya in the Pliocene, but on the other hand, fossilworks also says Stockach, where O. meyeri was found, dates to the Miocene. Do you think we should alert PALEO? I don't think anyone's watching this page beyond you and me   User:Dunkleosteus77 |push to talk  21:11, 1 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
